Ahhh...


The summer heat is finally here. We’ve had a few days when I’ve thrown open the windows and set out fans to move cooler air through the house. Maybe the rain is over for the season. We hope. It’s been a long, wet winter and I’m ready for consistently blue skies.

Last weekend we decided it was time to install a ceiling fan in my office. My husband is handy and had that thing wired and working in short order. Now I don’t have to use papers from my desk to fan away a hot flash. Hot weather + hot flashes = cranky & miserable. Ceiling fan = ahhh.

    I think ceiling fans are the greatest things ever. We have them in every room here, and in Florida. As a matter of fact, I just turned one on...and you're right, they're perfect for hot flashes :)

    Ha! Love the photo. I think ceiling fans are great too. Our AC went out last night and I have a fan directed at me as I'm writing this. I'm managing better than I thought I would.

    Love this - "Hot weather + hot flashes = cranky & miserable. Ceiling fan = ahhh." Funny stuff there.

    I found a $150 ceiling fan on clearance last year for just $25. It's cherry and brushed nickel - so pretty. The breeze from a ceiling fan is not to be underestimated. It's heavenly for sleep: soft and quiet. Love them!
